Postgraduate Admission Requirements
The postgraduate programmes of EKUMEDHS will commence in Phase One with the establishment of the Teaching Hospital during the third year of admission of the first set of students (i.e., the commencement of the clinical training programmes). This hospital-based postgraduate programme is referred to as the professional Fellowship Residency training programmes which is co-coordinated and certified by the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria. Resident doctors are necessary human resources for the clinical training and education of medical students. However, the academic postgraduate programmes of the University are planned to commence in Phase Two of the establishment of the institution, precisely during the seventh year, after graduating the second set of medical students.
The specific programmes will depend on needs assessment, in addition to available human resources and material facilities in line with NUC Guidelines and existing Bench Mark Minimum Academic Standards (BMAS) documents.
